Beautiful house. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed spending my last hour here with them and the house. She was really nice. :)
If only the walls could speak. The history is fascinating. Every year when I visit Maryland I always visit this home. It's been fascinating to watch the evolution of the renovations and learn of a new finding. The staff is so knowledgeable and connected to this home and it's history.
I loved to visit this famous historic mansion in Riverdale, long before the town was renamed Riverdale Park. Apparently the house and plantation surrounding it were and still are called Riversdale and there were over 2,000 acres of land.
I am pleased to know that this important suburban Maryland historic house has been renovated and kept up as a museum. I remember fantasizing about living there.
The house (even just the exterior, if you miss the tours), grounds, and garden are great to wander around. There's a visitor center also with great historic information about the place and programmatic calendars. The staff are also lovely and helpful. A great M-NCPPC park / historic site in Prince George's County.
I used to walk almost every weekday to elementary school passing in front of Riverdale Mansion.
Beautiful old home. I go here for the 12th Night Ball every year, and other events as they occur. Highly recommend visiting the museum and taking the tour.
